Vectorworks is a user-friendly software program in computer aided design (CAD). The Vectorworks Level 1 course introduces you to the program. Through demonstrations and exercises you will learn simple and then more complex drawing and editing techniques in two dimensions (2D), in order to produce professional standard plans and elevations.
By the end of the course, you will be able to generate technical 2D drawings, have experience in basic 3D modelling and wall creation, and will understand how to access the ready-made 2D and 3D (three-dimensional) objects that are an integral part of the program.
Vectorworks is much used by interior designers, garden designers and architects. Once you grasp the principles, you can apply them to other CAD programs.
- Day 1: Introduction; How the software works; Setting up a drawing template; Drawing 2D objects; Drawing curves; Attributes palette
