AWARDS CEREMONY 2013/14
The Inchbald Exhibition of Work presented by the class of 2013/14 was greeted with great enthusiasm by both the external judges and the profession. The Interior Design and the Garden Design Faculty showed their work together, demonstrating not only the links between these two disciplines but the fascinations of their interaction.
At a well-attended reception there was not only great interest in the lively interpretations of the various projects but many compliments for the exhibitors. Architectural Interior Design judges included distinguished ISD graduate Stephen Ryan, presenting the inaugural “Design and Decoration Award”, and Natalia Miyar presenting the Helen Green Design Award; Simon Flint of Desalles Flint selected Courtney McClain’s theatre, restaurant and retail complex, commenting particularly on her elegant hand drawing, and Suzanne Trocmé, design author and journalist, was entranced with the design and supportive detailing demonstrated in Cathrine Dal’s restaurant project.
We are delighted to announce the introduction of Lynda.com for Inchbald students. This online learning platform gives you access to over 117,000 online tutorials, which will broaden your skills and knowledge giving you a leading edge in the profession.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be forwarding information about how to log on to Lynda.com to enable you to access the courses, together with a list of Inchbald recommended tutorials including SketchUp and Photoshop. Vectorworks will be online next year.
