Marcus studied for an RHS Advanced Certificate in Horticulture, and has a Post Graduate Diploma from the prestigious Inchbald School of Design.
Prior to these achievements he gained an MA in Contemporary Dance and for some years pursued dance as his first career.
He is now a Member of the Society of Garden Designers, and runs his own practice building private gardens. His work is varied, ranging from elegant gardens in central London to realizing the challenge of large country gardens in Northamptonshire, where he is based and where an understanding and sensitivity of place is paramount.
He is responsible for a number of conceptual show gardens, is an RHS medal winner and currently has a garden at Future Gardens at Butterfly World. Recently Marcus has been working with public space and is a finalist in the Cambridge University Library Landscape Competition.
Marcus is an important member of staff at Inchbald, lecturing on planting design and encouraging the creative process in studio which is so vital to the development of the student designer. He also brings his skills teaching and coaching Online students.
