Helen Green Design Foundation
The late Helen Green was one of Inchbald’s most distinguished graduates and shared Inchbald’s pre-occupation with the education and support for talented students. She had a unique ability to inspire and mentor young designers and in common with Jacqueline Duncan, she was passionate about the support and development of the profession in the UK.
Before she died, Helen, Jacqueline and Principal Alan Hughes had discussed ways in which their mutual ambitions might be realised in a constructive form, so when her family suggested establishing the Helen Green Design Foundation in her memory, Inchbald were only too happy to collaborate.
The Foundation, now established, offers bursaries and support for education and career development and the Inchbald partners HGDF in this programme.
Annually HGDF offers a creative and determined candidate the opportunity to undertake an Interior Design & Decoration Course (duration ten weeks) at the Inchbald School of Design. In addition, Inchbald offers an annual placement on the One Year Online Interior Design course. Applicants need no previous knowledge of interior design; Inchbald and HGDF are primarily looking to support talent and passion with this exceptional opportunity.
Submission details for the 2020 award will be open in November 2019. Applicants will be asked to complete a project and submit it digitally by a January deadline.
