Dame Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) was one of the most influential architects of the 20th and 21st centuries, celebrated for her bold vision and groundbreaking approach to design. Before establishing her internationally acclaimed architectural practice, she studied at Inchbald School of Design, where she developed an early appreciation for spatial composition, design thinking and creative exploration.

Throughout her remarkable career, Zaha Hadid redefined the possibilities of architecture with projects including the London Aquatics Centre, the Guangzhou Opera House and the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku. In 2004, she became the first woman to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize, followed by the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 2016.

Her extraordinary achievements continue to inspire generations of designers and architects, and Inchbald is proud to count Dame Zaha Hadid among its distinguished alumni.
