Inchbald provides a diverse and inclusive environment for creative and professional development. Collaboration lies at the heart of the school and students are encouraged and supported to produce innovative work in the pursuit and development of their skills.
As the UK’s pre-eminent school for interior and garden design, Inchbald limits places on courses and teaches in small groups, so that we can focus on the individual talents and perspectives of our students, preparing them for life in professional practice.
Inchbald holds various events during the year, some scheduled annually and some featured in the Year’s academic programmes. All are open to students and graduates, subject to number availability.

Exposure to the professional arena is a regular part of many courses at Inchbald. We aim to help you experience the design world while you are studying with us so that you can contextualise the role of the designer. Academic staff will be happy to talk about work experience and make connections with the profession.
