International Students

Student Visas

• Inchbald is licensed by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to sponsor eligible students and issue a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for Student Route visa applications.
• To receive a CAS, applicants must meet both Inchbald's academic entry requirements and the relevant UKVI immigration requirements. A tuition fee deposit is normally required to confirm acceptance of an offer before a CAS can be issued.
• Applicants who require a Student Route visa will also be invited to attend an interview with the relevant Course Director as part of the admissions process. In addition, UKVI may require students to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living costs while studying in London.
• Students enrolling on courses of less than six months' duration may be eligible to study under the Standard Visitor route, depending on their individual circumstances.

Graduate Route Visa

• Students enrolling on the BA(Hons) or Masters with Inchbald may be eligible for the Graduate Route visa on successful completion of their course, allowing them to live - and work - in the UK for at least 18 months without the need for sponsorship.

English Language Requirements

• All Inchbald courses are taught in English. Applicants from countries where English is not recognised by UKVI as a majority language will normally need to provide evidence of English language proficiency through an approved Secure English Language Test (SELT). The Admissions Team will advise applicants on the accepted qualifications and the required scores for their chosen course.

Other Immigration Routes

• Some international and EU applicants may already hold immigration permission that allows them to study in the UK without applying for a Student Route visa, including those with Settled or Pre-settled Status, a Spouse or Partner Visa, an Ancestry Visa, or other eligible immigration permissions. If you are unsure which route applies to you, our Admissions Team will be happy to advise.

Work Experience

• Students are encouraged to gain professional experience wherever possible during their studies. Opportunities for work observation may be available, subject to individual circumstances and immigration conditions. Students studying in the UK should ensure they understand the terms of their visa, as restrictions on work and placements may apply.
