Exposure to the professional arena is a regular part of many courses at Inchbald. We aim to help students experience the design world whilst they are studying with us in order to define the role of the designer.
Usually scheduled in the Easter break for the year courses these placements are organised by the School and generously offered by many leading studios and practices. Students will normally undertake a week or two weeks with a design studio observing day to day practice, getting to understand studio structure and seeing real projects in progress. Students may be called upon to get involved with all aspects of the process and tutors will endeavour to place students in a sympathetic situation that suits their working method.
Whatever the course undertaken academic staff will be happy to talk about work experience to begin making connections with the profession.
