The building houses lecture spaces combined with studios to provide an environment in which students learn both theory and practice from expert tutors, professional designers and their peers. Outside the classroom, Inchbald offers practical support, information, advice and guidance ensuring that every student makes the most of their time at the school. Students come to Inchbald from all over the world and this dynamic and diverse cultural blend stimulates the international collaboration that influences student’s work.
Inchbald is situated at Eaton Gate, in the heart of London’s Chelsea and within easy reach of the renowned Victoria and Albert Museum and the Saatchi Gallery. It is a few minutes’ walk to both the iconic King’s Road and the Pimlico Design Quarter. The school is close to transport hubs making London’s broad art and cultural attractions very accessible.
Academic staff foster an open-door policy with course tutors and directors readily available to students seeking advice and opinion. This reinforces the tutorial approach all teaching staff adhere to, creating an environment that actively encourages the development of the individual through practice and discussion.
